/ The Problem

Buyers ask legal questions, not product ones

A compliance head or company secretary does not search for “compliance software”. They ask what changed in a specific Act, what the penalty is now, and which filing is due when. LexComply needed to be the answer to those questions, on Google and inside AI answers.

And the answer had to be exact. In compliance, one wrong penalty figure or commencement date costs credibility with the very reader you want to convert. Every claim had to trace back to the statute or the regulator.

In compliance search, being right is the ranking factor that converts. A reader who catches one wrong date does not get in touch.

/ The Approach

Exact answers, anchored to the product

With the LexComply team we narrowed the scope to compliance and the legal subjects the platform tracks, then held every article to the same standard.

What we did
Compliance only
Content limited to the compliance product and the statutory domains it tracks: GST, labour and statutory, data privacy, company law, SEBI, FSSAI, environment and more. Depth on the topics that lead to a sale, not breadth.
75 buyer prompts
A tracked set of 75 questions Indian compliance buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Every article maps to one of them.
Statute-verified
Every figure is checked against the primary source: India Code, MCA, SEBI, RBI and the other regulators. Amendments, commencement dates and penalties are checked separately, because one amendment can change all three.
Answer first
Each article opens with the direct answer, then uses tables for penalties, due dates and applicability, and links readers to the compliance management product for the next step.
Measured weekly
The tracked prompts are scanned across AI platforms and Search Console is read every week. The next topics come from what the engines are already picking up.

/ Results: Google's AI Features

149K impressions inside AI answers

Search Console reports separately on the times a site appears inside Google's generative AI features, the AI Overview at the top of the results page among them. For lexcomply.com that line stayed under 2,500 a day until early October. Then it stepped up: above 4,000 on eight of the last ten days, peaking near 5,800, roughly three times its summer level.

/ Results: Leads

The first inbound lead, in October

Traffic is the means. In October, the first full month after the work began, the content brought LexComply its first inbound lead. In enterprise compliance software, where sales cycles run long, an enquiry this early says the content is reaching people ready to talk, not only readers.

/ The Takeaway

Get the law right, and buyers get in touch.

Compliance buyers reward precision. Narrow scope, statute-verified answers and a clear route to the product moved LexComply's search and AI numbers up within weeks, and the first enquiry followed.

What comes next

The next phase builds on the topics already earning attention: more coverage of regulatory changes and due dates, deeper pages on the compliance management product, and tracking how often AI assistants name LexComply on the 75 tracked prompts.

/ Take Action

Find the compliance questions you are not answering.

We will map the questions your buyers ask, show you who answers them today on Google and in AI answers, and tell you honestly which of them you can win.
