8.4× Google clicks
in ten weeks

SatRas is a seed-to-shelf Indian staples brand: wood-pressed mustard oils from a named seed variety, heritage atta, and organic garden inputs. We started in August on a domain only weeks old. Ten weeks later its weekly Google clicks were 8.4× their starting level, weekly impressions had gone from 981 to 71.1K, and it had appeared 61.1K times inside Google's AI features.

/ The Problem

A new domain, found only by name

SatRas's Search Console history began on 29 June 2026. When we ran the baseline audit on 7 August, almost all of the clicks from searches that named anything came from people who already knew the brand, and Google's AI Overviews cited it for none of the five category terms we checked.

The category is crowded with established wood-pressed and kachi ghani brands, and mustard oil carries a hostile search narrative of its own. A brand built on lab-tested, seed-variety-level claims had no pages that put those claims in front of the people asking.

In food, the checkable number beats the adjective. By August, the only AI citation the brand had earned came from the one page that published specific, checkable numbers.

/ The Approach

Checkable numbers, in the buyer's words

We built content on satras.in around the questions oil switchers, home gardeners and grain upgraders actually type, held to one set of rules.

What we did
Lead with numbers
Published fatty-acid figures, the named seed variety (Raya Hisar 1706) and the lab report on the page, never wellness adjectives or absolutes. Measurable claims are what AI answers quote.
Buyers' words
Buyers search "kachi ghani", "cold pressed" and "sarso ka tel" far more than "wood-pressed", and "neem khali" more than "neem seed powder". The content uses their vocabulary alongside the brand's.
Three oils, three jobs
Black for pungency, tadka and pickling; yellow for a mild taste and its fat profile; high oleic for the seed variety. No claim moves from one oil to another.
Answer first
Each piece opens with the direct answer, then tables for fat profile, price per litre and use, then short FAQs: formats Google and AI assistants can lift straight into an answer.
Measured weekly
The tracked prompts are scanned across AI platforms and Search Console is read every week. The next topics come from what the engines are already picking up.

It passed 1,000 a day on 20 September and ran above 2,500 a day in the final days, peaking near 2,750, from a brand the AI Overviews cited for none of its category terms in August.

/ The Takeaway

Publish the number, then the answer follows.

A new D2C brand does not out-shout established names in a crowded category. It can out-specify them. Pages that answer the buyer's actual question with numbers a reader can check took SatRas from a brand found only by name to one Google shows over 70,000 times a week.

What comes next

The next phase turns impressions into orders: lifting click-through on the pages that already rank, deeper coverage for home gardeners and heritage-grain buyers, and tracking how often AI assistants name SatRas on its category questions.
